Holiday's mean lot's of things to people. One thing they definitely mean to cleaners is lots of gravy and food stains on tablecloths and clothes. Here is a quick method on how to use Laidlaw RSR on the spotting board.

1. Apply a mist of steam from your spotting gun to the stained area. Be careful not to get too close with your steam gun. That would only help to set the stain.

#2. Take your RSR bottle and apply 1 teaspoon to 8 ounces of Tergit.

#3. Apply the RSR to the stained area. Use your bone scraper to work in the RSR but be very careful not to scrape too hard and put a hole in the fabric.

#4. After working in the RSR, if the garment is all one color, simply roll it up in a ball and put the garment aside in a nice warm area for about 45 minutes. My favorite place used to be on 1 of the presses if the pressers were done for the day. Sometimes a puffer will do and sometimes you have to simply just roll it up and put it aside. If you have to resort to the last option, before you roll up the garment place a CLEAN white towel over the are you are working on. Steam the stained area through the towel and get it nice and warm. Now you are ready to roll the garment up and let the RSR work.

If the garment is on a multi colored garment, do not roll it in a ball. Doing that will most likely cause dye transfer. Simply place your CLEAN white towel over the stain after you have worked in the RSR, steam the garment 1 last time to keep it nice and warm and then find a nice warm place
to place the garment for 45 minutes. The only difference is that you are not going to roll the garment into a ball. Keep the clean towel over the stain to hold in the heat.

#5. After 45 minutes go over and see if the stain is gone. In many cases it will be!! Now feather out the remaining RSR with your steam gun, give it 1 good flush and apply your leveling agent. Wait 15 -20 minutes before cleaning so that you will not have any rings. However, you will have a happy
customer.
