5 Steps to Protein Spot
Removal
- Apply light mist of steam from your spotting gun.
- Apply solution of 1 teaspon of Laidlaw RSRŪ combined with 6 oz of TERGITŪ.
- Apply white, clean towel over the wetted area and mist with steam.
Roll up the item (you may want to place in a plastic bag).
- Put in a warm spot (i.e. under a press buck or near the boiler for
45 minutes (electronic kitchen timers work well to keep track of your progress)).
- Remove from heat, make sure the area is still moist (if it is)
apply Laidlaw's Leveling Agent (or Laidlaw Hydrocarbon Leveling
Agent for petro/df2000 users), wait 10 to 15 minutes
and dry clean in the appropriate category load.
TIP: Leveling agent should be used as a last step on all
wetside spotting to avoid rings & redeposition.
